If you are a podcaster or have a podcaster on your gift giving list, check out these products that are under $50 that may fit the bill.

Podcasting Equipment Under $50

Microphone Pop Shields helps to reduce the popping when saying words that begin with a “p” or “b”.

They are fairly universal and compatible with nearly all microphones. Some microphones, however, already have this built in so you won’t need an external pop shield.

If you have a microphone sitting on a desk or table, you might enjoy the convenience of having a boom arm instead.

A Boom Arm allows the mic to be positioned closer to the mouth; and can be moved around for comfort, and helps to reduce vibration noise. They are fairly universal as well, as long as the microphone has a standard 3/8″ or 5/8″ threading, just make sure you have a place to clamp it onto.

Headphones come in such a wide variety of prices but if you were using earbuds with a built-in mic, you’ll want to ensure the new pair of headphones has the same feature and are comfortable as well.

If you are a podcaster without a decent microphone, or are just using earbuds or the built-in microphone on your laptop, a lower-budget mic will be a big improvement.

The Marantz Pro M4U is under $50 and you get a good quality mic plus it has a desktop stand.

As an added bonus, this mic can be connected by either USB or traditional XLR connector. Most microphones are one or the other, but in this case it can be used standalone via USB connection or in a multi-microphone setup.

Almost every space has echo, especially when recording at home or in other areas that were not purposely built for podcasting.

Adding some acoustic foam to the walls can help cut down on the echo and sound reflections, making your podcast sound even better.

Disclosure:

All of these items contain Amazon Affiliate links which mean if you make a purchase using them I will get a small commission — enough for a cup of coffee, however, it will not increase your cost.

When you are ready to step up your game, there are other items that will help to turn your podcasting hobby into a serious jobby!

So what do you think, are you looking to add any of these items to your 2021 podcasting portfolio?

If you have any questions, please feel free to send an email to me at info@ablakeenterprises.com to schedule a Complimentary Discovery Call so we can get you scheduled for the 4-Hour Podcasting Your Purpose Coaching Session for an investment of $333 or 3 payments of $111.

Remember, “you can literally change someone’s life just using your voice!”
